Transparent fees

One simple per-ticket fee

The application fee is a percentage of each order, capped per order so it stays fair on high-value tickets. There are no setup fees and no monthly minimums on Free.

PlanPer-ticket feeFee cap
Free4%£6.00 per order
Starter3%£5.00 per order
Pro2%£4.00 per order
EnterpriseNegotiated (2% default)£4.00 per order (negotiable)
Registered charity2%£4.00 per order

A registered charity pays whichever is lower — its plan's rate or the charity rate — so a charity on Free pays 2% rather than 4%, and donations carry no platform fee at all. How the charity programme works.

What would you pay?

Put in your monthly volume and see the all-in cost on every plan, next to the published standard rates of the platforms organisers most often compare us with — or read the full Eventbrite comparison.

People book together — a couple is one order of 2, a table of friends one order of 6. Your frequentix fee is worked out per order, and capped per order.

Who pays the booking fee?
Try an example:

Selling 150 tickets a month at £15, the Free plan costs £90/month all-in £154.50/month less than Eventbrite’s published rate, about £1,854 a year.

  • The fee columns show what each platform keeps — never your ticket revenue. At these numbers roughly £2,250 of ticket sales a month settles to you; “all-in” adds the plan’s monthly price on top of the fees, and that price is £0 on Free.
  • Your frequentix fee is worked out per order, not per ticket: a percentage of the order total, capped per order, so a group booking never pays more than the cap. The other platforms here charge per ticket, so their figures stay the same however people book.
  • Competitor figures are their published standard UK rates, checked August 2026. Eventbrite’s rate is all-in (includes card processing). Ticket Tailor’s rates exclude VAT — add 20% unless you can reclaim it — and card processing; its credit rate needs bundles bought up front, and a seated ticket costs two credits. The frequentix figures are exactly what you pay, with no VAT on top; card processing at Stripe’s standard rates applies separately, as it does on Ticket Tailor.
  • Free tickets carry no platform fee on any plan.
Questions

Frequently asked

Who receives the ticket revenue?

You do. Ticket sales run on Stripe Connect direct charges, so buyers pay into your own Stripe account and you are the merchant of record. frequentix only ever deducts a transparent application fee.

Do you offer a charity rate?

Yes. A registered charity pays 2% capped at £4.00 per order on any plan — including Free — and no platform fee at all on donations. Tell us your charity number at signup or from Settings → Billing and we'll check it against the public register. See /charities for the detail.

How is the platform fee worked out?

The application fee is a percentage of each order, capped per order, and it steps down as you move up plans — from 4% on Free to 2% on Pro. Enterprise fees are negotiated, with the cap starting at Pro's £4 by default. You also choose who pays it: absorb it yourself, or pass it to your buyers as a service fee at checkout — switchable any time in Settings → Billing, on every plan. Free tickets never carry a fee either way.

Is there a welcome offer?

Yes, with a code. Sign up with an offer code from one of our flyers or partners and you pay no platform fee on your first 50 paid orders, across all your events, for 90 days. Card processing still applies. If you signed up without a code you can add one in Settings → Billing within 14 days, as long as you haven't taken a paid order yet. The full terms are at /offers.

Do I need a paid plan to take payments?

No. You can sell paid tickets on the Free plan. Higher plans lower your platform fee and unlock extras like custom branding, badges, discount codes and the developer API.

Can buyers check out without creating an account?

Yes. Checkout is guest-first: each order is secured by a private link we email, and buyers can recover their links at any time with “find my order”.

What happens when a ticket type sells out?

Buyers can join its waitlist instead of hitting a dead end. On Starter you release freed places to the next people in line whenever you choose; on Pro it is fully automatic — a freed spot (from an abandoned checkout, a refund or cancellation, or a raised cap) is offered to the next person and held just for them with a time-limited claim link.

Can I sell a run of dates as one event?

Yes, on Starter and above. One event carries all its dates — the nights of a show, the weeks of a course, the slots of a timed-entry attraction — with capacity, sales, per-order limits and waitlists counted per date, while ticket types, questions, discounts, branding and seating are configured once. Starter runs up to 60 dates per event; Pro raises that to 2,000 and adds generated slot grids.

Can buyers transfer or resell a ticket they can’t use?

Yes, if you allow it. A holder can transfer a ticket to a named recipient on Starter and above — ownership genuinely moves, and the old QR stops working everywhere including offline scanners. On a multi-date run they can also move it to another night themselves, same ticket type and nothing to pay, also on Starter and above. On Pro they can list it for resale at exactly the face value they paid, which is offered to your waitlist in order: the buyer pays face value plus the usual booking fee and the seller is refunded face value. There is no price field, so there is nothing for a tout to mark up.

Can buyers cancel their own tickets?

On Starter and above, to a policy you set per event: how long before the event they may cancel, an optional cool-off window after purchase, and a cancellation fee if you want one. They cancel individual tickets from their order page, the face value goes back to the card less any fee you kept, and the place returns to stock and is offered to your waitlist. Issuing a refund yourself stays available on every plan.

Do buyers get a VAT invoice?

Every paid order gets a numbered document that never changes once issued: a full VAT invoice where you are VAT-registered and have stated your number and address, or a plain receipt where you are not. Numbering is gapless per organiser and, by default, restarts each calendar year — you can switch the yearly reset off in Settings → Invoicing for one continuous sequence. A refund raises a credit note that reproduces the original invoice's VAT exactly. Receipts are on every plan; the VAT-invoice apparatus is on Starter and above — but reading a document you have already issued is never gated, even if you downgrade.

Does check-in work without internet at the venue?

Yes — on every plan, including Free. Scanner devices keep admitting attendees offline and sync up when the signal returns — and a ticket refunded while the Wi-Fi was down is still caught, without any attendee names being stored on the device. Staff can also find an attendee by name and check them in without a QR at all.

Can I email my attendees?

Email campaigns are available on Pro and Enterprise. Broadcast a branded email to everyone holding a ticket, or to selected ticket types — sent immediately or scheduled for a moment you choose — up to 25,000 sends a month on Pro (negotiated on Enterprise). Automatic event reminders are never metered; abandoned-checkout recovery emails count towards the allowance. Transactional emails — order confirmations and buyers’ order links — send on every plan and never count towards it.

Can I sell in other languages?

Yes, on every plan. Your storefront and buyer emails are available in English, French, German, Spanish and Dutch — each language has its own URL, buyers can switch language, and order confirmations arrive in their language with localised dates and currency.

Can I embed checkout on my own website?

Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. Paste one snippet onto your site and the full frequentix checkout — ticket selection, registration, Stripe payment and wallet passes — runs inside your own page, so buyers never leave your brand. Choose an inline widget or a pop-up button, and set which domains are allowed to embed under Settings → Embed.

Can exhibitors or sponsors issue their own team’s tickets?

Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. Record each company once, assign it to an event, and share a private link — the company issues its team’s tickets there, in bulk from a spreadsheet or one person at a time, restricted to the ticket types you allow, and can search its roster, show each pass and reassign a ticket when someone can’t come. A second link lets them view every ticket they hold across your events, and you can bulk-assign companies — picking many at once in the console, each with its per-event reference, or with a CSV import — and email every assigned company its links in one go.

Can I approve who gets a ticket before they pay?

Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. Mark any ticket type as “requires approval” and it becomes a request rather than a purchase — buyers apply without paying upfront, and you review each one in a dedicated approvals queue alongside the registration details they gave at checkout. Approve or decline individually or in bulk and add a note, and only then is a seat confirmed: approved free tickets issue instantly, while approved paid tickets get a secure link to complete payment.

How do I get support?

From the console: Help → Support tickets opens a ticket with us from wherever the problem is — an event, an order, a ticket type — with screenshots attached and the record linked, and everyone on your team with support access sees the reply. Requests from your door devices, exhibitor handsets and ticket holders land with your team in the same place, and you can hand any of them to us with the whole conversation. On Pro and Enterprise your tickets go to the front of our queue with a first-reply target. Phone and email are on the support page too.
