Someone can’t make it, wants Saturday instead, or needs the money back. On frequentix they sort it out from their order page — pass the ticket to a friend, move it to another night, sell it back at face value through your waitlist, or cancel to the terms you set — and the QR code, the wallet pass and the invoice all follow. It’s the support email you never have to answer.
Four buttons on the order page
Every order has one private link. From it a buyer can transfer a ticket to someone by name, change the date on a multi-date run, list a ticket for resale at exactly what they paid, or cancel for a refund — each one bounded by the rules you set, none of them needing an account or a password.
Whatever they choose, the old QR code stops working everywhere, including on scanners that are offline, and a fresh ticket, wallet pass and document are issued in its place. Nothing is left for you to reconcile.
Pass it on, change the date, or sell it back
- Pass it on: Name the person; they accept from an emailed link and get their own ticket and wallet pass.
- Change the date: Pick another night of the run — same ticket type, nothing to pay, a seat chosen on the new night.
- Sell it back: List it at face value and it’s offered to your waitlist in turn; the seller is refunded when it sells.
Three switches, one cutoff, and a log of every move
Each flow is off until you turn it on, per event, from the Exchange tab of your frequentix console. One cutoff closes transfers, listings and date swaps the same number of minutes before each date. Every transfer, swap and listing is on the record with who, what and when — you can cancel a pending transfer, or move a holder to another night yourself — and your cancellation terms live on the same tab.
Ticket transfers
Let a holder pass a ticket to someone by name. They accept from an emailed link; the ticket is reissued to them, with their own wallet pass, and the original stops working.
Face-value resale
Let a holder list a ticket at exactly what they paid, and let your waitlist buy it in turn. No price field, no markup, and the QR code rotates on the way through.
Date swaps
On a run, let a holder move to another night from their order page — same ticket type, nothing to pay, a seat chosen on the new night. Staff can move anyone from the console too.
One cutoff for all three
Transfers, listings and swaps all close the same number of minutes before each date. A swap counts against the night it leaves — and ignores the cutoff when that night has been cancelled, so moving holders off a called-off date is never too late.
What happens, every time
A transfer offer has a clock
Once a holder names someone, the offer stays open for 48 hours. Until it is accepted the ticket stays theirs and their QR code keeps working; if nobody accepts in time, nothing has changed.
Resale has no price field
A listing is fixed at the face value the seller paid, after any discount. The buyer pays that plus the usual booking fee; the seller gets the face value back on their original card. Nobody makes a margin on your event.
A date swap is a move, not an upgrade
Same ticket type, same holder, same order, nothing to pay. The freed place goes to the waitlist for the night it left, and your revenue per night follows the ticket.
Every move retires the old QR code
The moment a transfer is accepted, a listing sells or a date changes, the old code is refused at the door — on scanners that are offline too — and the old wallet pass voids itself. A fresh ticket takes its place.
One payment, one place it can go back
A ticket received through a transfer, or bought from another buyer, can’t be cancelled for a refund again. A ticket that is mid-transfer or listed for resale can’t be cancelled until that is withdrawn.
Documents follow the ticket
A cancellation raises a credit note; a date swap reissues the invoice for the same amount. Nothing is ever edited after issue — a correction cancels one document and supersedes it.
