FIRST50: no platform fee on your first 50 orders
By David Neal ·
We’ve started a welcome offer, and this is the public code for it. Sign up with FIRST50 and your first 50 paid orders carry no platform fee — for 90 days from the day you apply it, across every event you run. Card processing still applies, and the code closes on 31 October 2026. Here is the whole thing in plain words.
What FIRST50 gives you
The platform fee is the per-order fee on our pricing page — on Free, 4% of the order, capped at £6. With FIRST50 it is zero on your first 50 paid orders. Not per event: across everything you sell, in whatever order it comes. Group bookings help you here, as they always do — an order with four tickets in it is one order.
If you pass the platform fee on to your buyers as a service fee, they pay none while the offer runs; the price they see is the ticket price. Card processing is Stripe’s fee on each card payment and stays exactly as it is. It isn’t ours to waive, which is why every line of this says “no platform fee” rather than “no fees”.
What it’s worth, in pounds
A concrete example. A hall show selling in pairs at £12 a ticket takes orders of £24. On Free the platform fee on each is £0.96, so 50 of them would cost £48 in platform fees; with FIRST50 they cost nothing. The most the offer can be worth is £300 — 50 orders at the £6 cap, which takes orders of £150 or more. Run your own event through the calculator and read its platform-fee line as nothing for your first 50 orders.
How to claim it
- New here? Create your account and the code arrives already filled in — or type FIRST50 into the offer-code box on the register page. The confirmation tells you the moment it’s applied.
- Signed up in the last 14 days without a code, and not yet taken a paid order? Add FIRST50 from Settings → Billing.
- Already holding a code from a flyer, a poster or a partner? Use that one. Every code carries the same offer, and an organisation holds one code, not two.
From then on Settings → Billing shows the live position: fee-free orders left, platform fee waived so far, and the day the offer ends.
The small print, all of it
- 50 paid orders or 90 days, whichever runs out first. An order started while the offer runs keeps its price even if the offer ends before the buyer pays.
- Cash door sales and bank-transfer orders never carry a platform fee, so they are neither charged nor counted. Free registrations aren’t counted either.
- A verified charity gets the offer in full while it runs, and its charity rate afterwards — 2% capped at £4, with donations carrying no platform fee at all.
- One code per organisation, matched whatever case you type it in.
- The full terms are on the offers page. There is nothing on it that isn’t here.
Why we’re doing this
Because we’re new, and we’d rather you found out what the platform does with real sales than take our word for it. A waiver only costs us anything when you actually sell, which makes it the one promotion we can afford to open to everyone rather than keep behind a sales call. The organiser we most want is exactly the one who takes 50 paid orders through us — and if that’s you, the first 50 are on us.
When it closes
FIRST50 can be used at signup until 31 October 2026. Sign up on the last day and you still get the full 90 days. If we extend it, this post will say so at the top. If it closes, the register page tells you the offer has ended rather than pretending the code was wrong — and an offer already applied to your organisation runs its course regardless.
Sign up with FIRST50 — publish your first event today. Card processing applies; our fee doesn’t.
